About Lara
Lara was 16 when she picked up her first camera. A Minolta X270. It's a film camera that she still cherishes, decades later.
Barely three months after she turned 16, Lara's family left Beirut (Lebanon) for the United States. They had to leave everything behind. Furniture, personal belongings, books, albums, her childhood….
A couple of decades later, her childhood and best friend sent her a package.
In the note, her friend wrote: “Remember, you gave me this album the day you left to remind me of you. Thank you for the memories. Now it’s your turn”
Lara had completely forgotten that she had gifted this to her friend She honestly thought that they had left it behind. It was Lara's first photo album where she had compiled various photos of her family, her life, their crazy cat, her friends.
Lara sat down and tears started flowing. She described the emotions as: "It was like I had found a treasure that I thought was lost forever. I was so lucky that my friend held on to this."
This is the feeling that Lara would like to give to her clients. The opportunity to hold on to memories through portraits of family members, especially after they are gone, i.e. grandparents, or have grown up and gone to college, got married and now have a family of their own.
Lara will hold your hand throughout the whole process from the first phone call to the day that she will hand deliver your photos in beautifully wrapped canvas, frames or albums.
